"The camera is my way of seeing and being.
When I pick it up, it becomes part of me. It allows me to express how I see the world. Although it's just a tool, it's the foundation for my work and life."

“Grab
Shots”
In photography we call this a grab shot. Something
revealed, anticipated, presented, often unplanned with only a few seconds to react. In
photojournalism grab shots are an every day occurrence.
A "grab shot" is one that may be hidden, candid, ready to reveal itself and
even lucky, but it's definitely deliberate. Whether you're looking
to shoot magazine-style pictures of native peoples from foreign countries, decked out in their traditional clothing, or lovers
embracing on a park bench, the best pictures will be those that are well intentioned.
Equipment:
I’ve been a Nikon user for 35 years. All but a few images in this exhibit were taken with Nikon Professional cameras. The 3-4 not shot with a pro camera were photographed with a Nikon amateur product. The Digital cameras have been varying megapixels from 3.3 - 12.4. Five images
were created using a Nikon film camera.
