On September 11, 2001, I was waiting to meet a client when news came over my newswire pager a small airplane had crashed into the World Trade Center. At 10am I was scheduled to photograph a business story for Crain's Cleveland Business. I completed the assignment but we all watched in horror as the Twin Towers fell.

Just a short while later I was paged to cover the evacuation of downtown Cleveland, a bomb scare at Cleveland City Hall, and a diverted aircraft at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport thought to have been hijacked. The day was maddening.
On September 15, 2002 I was in New York City and visited the site of the fallen Twin Towers. I did not get to spend as much time in the entire area as I would have liked, but I must tell you, I don't know if I could have. I held back most of my tears by sheer will power and by trying to keep focused on creating imagery.

Let us all remember...Let us never forget.
